It’s easy to do business in Singapore
Hey it’s the IMF craze!! Everyone is talking about it, newspaper publish things about it everyday. They talk about it in the news everyday… blah blah blah…
So what’s the big deal that they have to talk about it almost every minute? It’s all the money!! Well, at least not physically but IMF is what they call an 'Economy Boost’. For those lost in politics, let me give you some hint. They don't call money as money but they call it economy. They don't call what the government’s paycheck as salary, they call it allowance. Why they call it allowance? It’s because they don't want to stoop that low in taking a salary in which are your tax money. So basically, you're the reason why they're staying in a big bungalow house while you're sitting in a pathetic unfriendly neighborhood and if you do a little research, there will be quite a number of immigrants living near you.
The headline is, It’s easy to do business in Singapore. This headline is taken from a newspaper a few days ago. Yeap… they actually use this headline to state that fact. It doesn't matter how you interpret it because in the end what you get is the same rational answer. Now if it’s easy to do business in Singapore, why not you immigrants come in here and take a crap just to add to the bullshits that are piling up here in our overcrowded and fine little city. That’s what I've been listening to all this while. Just loads of bullshits. Our ministers have been busy finding out how many babies us Singaporeans have been making. Errmmm… 37,492 babies in 2005 is just not enough for them to add to our 4,351,400 people squeezing in a 682.7 km2 of land. They still need more people (Immigrants to be exact)!! And guess where did they expect our future immigrants to be from? If you don't know yet, it’s China!!
Arrghh… can it gets any worst? Not being bias or anything but I've had enough of Chinese chinese because they're just plain ignorant. They come to Singapore and work at ’Banquet’ and expect…. You know Banquet is known for their Halal foods and when there’s halal food around, the makciks and pakciks are going to be there as well and you know how those makciks and pakciks some of them can't speak English. Hey… it’s still fair. These old folks have been around for quite some time. But here’s what. The Chinese chinese working at Banquet can't speak any English!! Yeah how about that? I tell you, I have to learn sign language just to tell them I want milk in my Fried Fish Soup!! If that’s not enough, it doesn't help that I look like a chinese who probably can communicate with this ignorant China dolls. So the makciks or pakciks will ask me what the china dolls are trying to say. It just pisses me off. Sometimes I just feel like showing them the finger and tell them to at least learn some bloody 'enghrish’ if they want to stay in Singapore. Hey hey hey… guess what? The ministers expect Singaporeans to be errmm… lingual in mandarin. Oh… I'm so excited. Are we going to China or are they coming here now?
More craps after 'doing business’ in Singapore
There’s once I was listening to the news, I wasn't really concentrating but I'm sure they said something about being embarrassed that there aren't going to be protesters around. If robots don't understand why it’s embarrassing that there aren't protesters in Singapore, it’s because they don't want others to look at Singapore as a robotic (Police state) country, kapish? For those who haven't been out of the 'bubble’ (island), protesting is a norm in other countries. It is a form of free speech in which we humans SHOULD have the right to speak up!! Do you get it, robot? Hahahaha… and this part is plain funny…. They decided that they will allow protesters during the IMF meeting (Awe… the government don't want to feel embarrassed by the fact that they're treating us like dogs).
So, if you haven't been listening, reading or watching the news, there are about 400 protesters suppose to protest on the IMF meeting. Ok… so it’s not so bad afterall… *smacks*!!! You're WRONG!! They actually made a specific area where you can protest and that area can't accommodate 400 protesters. I doubt if it can accommodate a quarter of them. There you go… A perfect example of a police state. Shame on Singapore!! Boo hoo!! Please realize (if you haven't) you lost your rights to speak up as long as you're staying in Singapore. We're like dogs or robots or whatever you want to call it to the government so they can build better economy (MAKE MORE MONEY).
Is everything about money? Stop it already!! We're rich already. We ranked top in a lot of things already. Until we even ranked top as the unhappiest city in asia. Congrats!! You've successfully neglected your citizens. Your ERS and bribes you just gave in May just won't work coz money is not everything.

· Press freedom. Dismally ranked 140th out of 167 countries by Reporters without Borders, (See? No freedom of speech)
· Executions. One of the world’s highest rates (on per capita), having hanged 400 criminals between 1990-2004). (I told you we're dogs)
· Sex performance. Second last out of 41 countries (2005 Durex Global Sex Survey), which wouldn't have bothered the government had it not been for its very low procreation). (High stress level being a robot everyday)
· Emigration. Singapore has an average outflow rate of 26.11 migrants per 1,000 citizens, the second highest in the world - next only to East Timor (51.07), according to an unverified website. (Blame how we're being treated)

Some of you might come from goodbaduglysg, welcome. I've read almost all of the 25 blogs posted. Yes I'm able to read your blog.
I know some of you may think Singapore is a nice place to live in with convenience and stuffs like that. Yes I like the systematic living in Singapore. I just hate the fact that we lost our human rights as a trade for luxury. Go out and travel. All the good bad and ugly things that happened around the world are human nature. That’s what made life a life. Here, our human nature is to be thrown away and live an artificial life. To live in such a way…. this way. If you still don't get what I mean, I suggest you get your passport, get out and explore other cultures and way of life. Or you can try 'Discovery Travel and Adventure Channel’. Errm… I said try. Who knows maybe it’s filtered by our censorship board too. You'll find alot of countries have quite similiar way of life. Singapore’s way too different.

ur blog entries are interesting and i like your straightforward and honest opinions abt some issues.but here’s some of my views.
Sporeans’ dont have a say cos our mindsets are still immature compared to those living elsewhere. We complain abt the trivial things.
nobody asked the then-Sultan of Spore to give up this cty for peanuts. But, if he didnt, Spore might still be the Malay Fishing Village instead of this highly globalised and bustling Chinese city.we dont hav oil so we can stop dreaming abt being brunei, wic is on par wif spore n stil remain malay.
If u go bk into history and read btwn the lines,u might noe d reason y malaya wanted to separate wif spore.e malayan minister could see through the mind of e then leader of spore.
it’s nt easy to land in a govt sector for non-chinese anymore. The quota is about 1 Malay in the intake of 20 new employees.
Malay mindset must change.Learn to speak chinese, bleach your faces, get jaundice..do whatever. It took 40 years for Malays to be “Melayu Baru". All we need is innovate and revamp ourselves.
singaporeans might b rich.but nt rich enough to pay ministers and presidents, roadworks, new govt buildings, etc.the sm mthly pay is more than some ppl’s yearly pay put together.a lot of money come frm taxes, but more come frm e rate of return frm investments.

Wow… you seems to talk alot about malays but this isn't a racial issue actually. It’s more about immigrants coming in and take our jobs despite high number of unemployments. I bet some of our local chinese will feel the pinch when the china dolls are coming here to take our jobs.
Actually, we seriously 'have no say’. It’s not that our mindsets are still immature, it’s just because we 'have no say’. Because when you ’start staying', you'll either end up getting sued or charged in court for whatever reasons they can and will give. Just like the boy who wrote racist comments in his blog. Instead of counselling him, they charged him. And it’s not just him. Everytime it happens, they'll 'amplify’ that person in the news paper, 'programming’ our brains not to do the same 'mistake’ (subjective) or something like it. Thats what made Singaporeans robots.
Yeah… our governments use our tax money to invest, get higher returns and give us our fare share. But seems like that is all our they've been doing. Too concern about financial growth rather than hearing what the citizens have to say. The whole “we have no say" technique isn't going to help much in long term. One day, people are just going to snap. With our inexperienced law enforcers, handling a huge riot might means having to shoot all the rioters down. Like in the New York Tribune, in regards to the Australian who faced the death penalty here and Singapore having one of the highest number of executions, the headline goes, “Kill the bad ones, leave the good ones alone"
So… the Temenggung really did the right thing but looking at things now, I'd rather stay in a fishing village where life is more laid back and people are happier, everyone knows everybody and when outsiders come, they get the best hopitality. Now, smiling at the neighbouring office’s staffs, all I get is a cold stare. What’s wrong with people these days… Fucking robots.
Oh… Even though I'm part of the malay community, I'm not malay. Just in case if you're wondering since you've been talking alot about malays.
September 18th, 2006 at 5:47 pm
don't be foolish if you think you'd rather live in a fishing village.
if laid back is what you want, you wouldn't be wanting to find jobs that are more advanced; more of a challenge to you.
it’s nature; you always want things you can't have.
September 18th, 2006 at 9:54 pm
Nah… I would rather live in a fishing village. Ok… correction. I would rather be raised in a fishing village. It’s a totally different situation. Too used to living in town and thrown in a fishing village is not a good idea. So… Being raised in a fishing village is a better idea.

LOL! yeah man! those two ppl were charged with ’sedition’. it was so funny to think that the govt put them as “dangerous" as the Nazis and Facists! It was obvious that they were just libellous. the govt n court just over-reacted.
but the drug smuggler deserved it what.. he shdnt receive special treatments just bcos hes australian.cos ppl in underground services dont learn.
abt the malay thing.i was talking about myself living in the malay community.thats all.i couldnt even get a job as a production worker.they said i was too smart for the job cos i got a levels.wtf?!
yeah, for nw we hav no say.but the ministers do hav conferences with the 'elite’ singaporeans, be it students or professional.in my opinion,it shd start somewhere.
sporeans r just stressed up freaks. maybe those neighbouring office staff arnt sure whether ur smiling at them or just was jus having a bad day.
ok, bye bye!

That racist kid is just a kid and he was charged like he’s a god damn dangerous criminal.
The drug smuggler however, he had a good reason to do that errand. Furthermore, he wasn't trying to smuggle into singapore. He’s on transit. We shouldn't be ignorant. We're so rich, we don't have to do all that kind of errands and therefore thinks he deserves it. But what if we're in his situation? Desperate and hopeless… would you do the same?
Ahah… just like how I was rejected from working at McDonalds. LoL… To me, the only path you can go from 'A’ level is to study further. It’s hard to get a job with 'A’ levels because they always want experience (Unless you can set an expected salary lower than the immigrants). Poly students however gain experience during their internships.
Those conferences are controlled. They still have to watch what they say. Have you seen news from other countries? Specifically in the U.S, President Bush vs. Matt Lauer. If they want to punish people for their mistakes, who’s going to punish the politicians for their mistakes? The answer is, “NO ONE". The politicians can get away with anything. They might have even commit murder or something, you wouldn't know.
Actually I don't think the neighbouring office people are locals. They're from India I guess. But seems like both local and immigrants are alike. As long as you stay here, it’s hard to smile I guess. Immigrants should smile more than the locals because they're IMMIGRANTS!!
