Make everyday your last day
Wake up everyday thinking you're just born with good knowledge and skills. Knowing you're just born today is the day to gain more knowledge and skills for the next few hours. Have a good time living. Appreciate you're alive and don't forget to smile. Smile at the joy of others and they'll smile right back at you. When people make funny jokes and actions, smile at them. Tell them they're funny. They will feel appreciated and you just gain a friend. Tell the cleaners they did a very good job in keeping the hygiene. Tell them they're the reason you feel like coming to work/school everyday because it’s all clean and nice.
Do not dwell in the past; do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Greet the people in the lift. They might not greet you back but they will soon. The worst thing that may happen is they'll smile at you. Leave the lift saying, have a nice day. Those people in the lift may not know each other but in each of their mind, they'll be thinking about you.
Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.
Don't walk too fast. Take each step like your breath. You walk too fast, you'll hyperventilate. You walk too slowly; you'll be out of breath. Stroll as though it’s your last day. Appreciate the things around you. Breathe in the fresh air.
Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.
Appreciate what you've done at work/school. Tell yourself you've learn something new. Even if you think you didn't, the actual fact is, you did. You've learn the good and bad side of life. It’s up to your conscience to decide which path to take. Use your mind to judge, use your heart to feel. If you feel you've made a mistake at someone, apologize before you even think of going to bed. Even if the person doesn't forgive you, you know you did the right thing. Then you'll be able to sleep peacefully.
Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
Don't say 'thanks’. Say 'thank you’. Don't say ’sorry’. Say I'm sorry. Being polite doesn't mean you're lame. It means you have a good self value. Say 'thank you’ when someone do something for you. This will make the person repeat his/her action willingly. Say sorry if you feel you've made someone upset. The person might or might not be happy about it but at least you only need to hear him/her saying you're forgiven.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
